We are VERY lucky to have a strong relationship with Mrs. Luker’s Grade 6 class. The grade 6’s visit our class daily to help us with Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Literacy Centers, etc. This relationship has helped build a sense of community between the older and younger students, as well as it has been a great help in building skills and confidence for all parties involved.
This week, the grade 6s have planned a very exciting Mother’s Day activity for the Grade 1s. The Grade 6s have taken it upon themselves to create and deliver an entire problem solving lesson and activity that helps the Grade Ones review there learning from our two-dimensional geometry unit.
Don’t worry Moms… I tried to take pictures that didn’t give away too much of the surprise! You can peak!
