Ten Frames

Today we explored how to represent and read numbers using a ten frame.

This is seven.


When using a ten frame, we can use anchors of five to read numbers quickly and efficiently. For example, when reading the above ten frame, the students can see that there is one full row (five) and count on from there (six, seven).
