Today your child will bring home a letter requesting “junk” for our upcoming Science unit. We need recycled materials to learn about and build models of structures. Please send in plastic containers, cardboard boxes or other used (but clean) containers between now and March break.

Today the students were split into groups and asked to draw a picture that matched a given description; each picture contained living things. After, students were given a different description that removed the living things from their pictures. At the end, the groups shared their pictures with the class and identified why living things are important, relative to their picture.
