Literacy Overview

Grade One is a BIG years for little readers! I love to see the growth in students’ reading and writing from September to June…. I think that is why this is my favourite grade to teach!

Throughout the year students will learn several reading strategies they can use when they are “stuck” on a word. A copy of these strategies can be found in your child’s Home Reading Log.
